PRESS RELEASE

The Merchant City area of Glasgow hides a wealth of stories and history relating to the characters and commerce which once filled it's streets.  Comedy and catastrophe lived  side by side in the old town.  Today it is not only home to many restaurants and bars, but along with jazz and blues, a growing traditional music scene.  With a life time of experience living in Glasgow, and many years around the live music venues, Journeyman Tours offers both visitors and locals a chance to hear the tales of Glasgow from past to present, and enjoy the music and hospitality of venues that they would be unlikely to find otherwise.  At weekends we aim to give an experience of Glasgow and it's people that visitors simply wouldn't find on their own.  With stories of the city that can't be found in guide books and drinking in the older bars with character, we take groups to a traditional Scottish Ceilidh for a couple of hours of jigs and reels which completes our "Glasgow Fling".  To use an old Glasgow phrase, "It's a rerr terr"!
