GLASGOW PAST TO PRESENT

Visitors to Glasgow over the centuries have been impressed by the architecture of its buildings and the friendliness of its people.

In the 17th century Samuel Pepys described Glasgow as "a very extraordinary town indeed for beauty and trade", in the 18th century Daniel Defoe considered it was "one of the most beautiful and best built cities in Great Britain", and in the 19th century Charles Dickens remarked that "he had never been more heartily received anywhere or enjoyed himself more completely" than when he was in Glasgow.  He also noted that "it rains as it never does rain anywhere else".  Oh well, nowhere's perfect.

At Journeyman Tours our aim is to make visitors to Glasgow feel equally impressed by the architecture and people of today by showing you around the sights and meeting the people of this very friendly city.
